Why Sri Lanka?

The motive for why I choose Sri Lanka for my first solo trip, it's not special at all.
Before Sri Lanka, I spend two weeks in Sal Island, Cape Verde. I knew that eventually I would have to leave the country, but I didn't want to go back home or find a new job, so three days after I buy my flight back to London, that happen two days before the departure, I just searched for cheap flights from London to everywhere on Skyscanner (an app that you can search for any flights).
The cheapest long distance flights available were to India or to Sri Lanka, I thought that for my first solo trip in Asia, Sri Lanka would be a better option. Still not a very touristy country, is less chaotic and the cultural shock wouldn't be so big. So, here I am.
